Dysphagia and silent GERD from the band?

Hello,

I was banded in 2005, and after years of problems I finally won my 2nd appeal from my insurance company for a revision.  I'm just wondering if any of you have experienced Dysphagia and silent GERD from the band?  And if you had a revision and found it got better or worse?

I was banded in 2006 and had revision to RNY yesterday.  It hasn't been very long but I could tell a difference yesterday. I started on clear liquids today and it was amazing to drink even teeny amounts without pain and pressure.  My stomach feels immensely better already-I had fairly significant GERD.

I had my revision from band to RNY last August. You can read my blog for details, but since my surgery, I haven't had 1 bout of GERD. I feel terrific - the best thing I ever did is have my band removed and revised to RNY.

The band has caused this in many people.  I went from band to sleeve, they waited 4 1/2 months between surgery and the issue resolved.  I'm a 15 months out from the sleeve and have no issue today.

Thank you!  And I am down 40/50 pounds more than I every got with the band.  I have held here for over 6 months and only held below 200 for less than a week with the band.
