Removal and revision in the same day?

Has anyone had a lapband removed and then the gastric bypass done in the same surgery? Did you have complications? Has the bypass worked for you? 

I've tried searching the forums and haven't been successful. I hope someone sees this and replies. :)

Yes, I had mine done the same day a few weeks ago.  No complications.  Down 22 pounds.  So far, so good.

I had mine done at the same time - works like a charm.  No problems, great weight loss, massively improved quality of life.  Would do it over again in a heartbeat.  Seriously!

I had mine done at the same time. I did have a complication with my gallbladder removal portion of the surgery, but nothing related to the band removal and revision. Best decision I ever made and mine was done laparoscopic.

Mine was done in the same surgery as well. Minor complications and I am down almost 30 pounds. There were 3 other people on my floor that had theirs done at the same time. For some surgeons this is common practice. I would not have changed a thing. 

I'm going thru the same thing.  My lapband did not work and I'm seeking new weight loss surgery.  Don't know which one will be best for me.

Many here have had the band removed and revision at the same time.  Many have no issues.  Give your Aunt our best.

I am scheduled to have both done this Thursday....I will let you know the results.
