I was so glad to have band removed and revised to RNY. Best decision I ever made. I haven't felt this good, and had this much energy since before I had the band.

Hi Toni. My story is like yours and I'm 3 weeks post op. My doc did everything at one time. I'm back at work, not in much pain, but still a lil uncomfortable at the incision sites. Was on liquids for 21 days, now on mushies and seem to be doing ok.  My energy level is still kinda low from just now eating. I don't know what RNY is, so can't advice on that, I did the bypass.  I've lost 27lbs but to be honest I just want to feel like normal.  I think I'm satisfied with my decision so far.

RNY is just another way of saying bypass. My doctor is now advising that I keep the band and try to work with it and if something else happens, then we'll talk about revision. I don't necessarily want surgery, but I'm sick of dealing with the fill/unfill crap of the band!!!!! I trust my doc so I just need to be patient with the process which is not easy for me.  I'm glad you are feeling good!! Good luck to you!!
