So, it's been quite a while since I've posted here. A lot has been going on
with me, so I just haven't been on here, but I remember lots of help and
opinions from folks, some good, some bad, but all informative in one way or
another.
Well, I had my RNY surgery on Nov 1, 2005, just over 8 years ago.
In the past year, I've gained back 50 lbs or so. I thought it was from
having a hysterectomy, but I was wrong.
Turns out, with my 8th dialation, that the opening from my pouch to the
intestines, had expanded from about 8-10mm to 25mm or so. What that caused
was the lack of feeling full after a small meal. Then we put bad habits back
as I wasn't feeling full.
this leads to the reason why I'm posting here.
I am scheduled to have an endoscopic stitch (Apollo Stitch) on the 17th of this
month to close down the enlarged opening.
I am told that it is still not widely used, and the success rate is good so far,
but I can't find much more, other than that it is mostly done in a facility
in Boston. Heck, we aren't even sure the insurance will cover it at this point.
So, I'm wondering if anyone here has had this procedure, and if it was successful
for you.
Thank you for your time in reading this, and if you have any opinions or
stories, those are appreciated as well.

Not real WLS.  Waste of money not insurance approved.  Consider an RNY revision, a DS or a BOB.
