Approved!
Dr. Michael Williams in GA did my original RNY surgery in 2002. I was very successful at the time and lost down to my goal. Since that time, I quit smoking and had three children. I gained all but 56 lbs back. I now live in FL and went to a surgeon here about a revision. He did xrays and determined I have a blind loop or candy cane syndrome. He told me that removing it would help me to lose weight again. That really didn't make sense to me so I contacted Dr. Williams about removing the blind loop and doing a revision. I had planned to pay for the additional charge to do the revision because I never imagined I would get approved. I got a call today and I've been approved and surgery has been scheduled for March 20. I cried while I was on the phone with the sweet lady.
Due to my emotions, I didn't ask any questions that I should have asked to prepare for surgery. What were your preparations for revision surgery? Did you have a liquid diet before? When I originally had the surgery, I only had liquids for a couple of days. I'm trying to get my mind in the game for this journey.
