Hi  I had a revision with Dr.Alexander in December I do notice that weight loss is slower than the 1st surgery , You do have to watch all your intake very closely because the pounds will sneak back on very quickly.

Had a mini- fobi bypass 2001. Lost 150 pounds. Gained 50 or so. The problems started about 2 years ago with abdominal pain and bile reflux. EGD showed gastritis and esophagitis.Mandatory dietary consult assisted in losing 30 or so pounds prior to revision.  As a nurse, I knew the reflux had to be remedied. Had revision to a true roux-n-y Dec 9. Have only lost 10 pounds and do not want this whole process to be for naught.Am documenting intake.  Help

Did the RNY cure your bile reflux?  I am scheduled to have this very surgery because I have Barretts esophagus.  Hoping that this is the cure that I am hoping for.

Thanks for your reply, Cindy

I think so. Decreased abdominal pain. No bile rising up to mouth anymore. Difficult to shed the pounds. Feeling much better.
