Revision approval at a normal BMI?

I had the band, I did well with it from about 225 to 125. Had complications, had it removed and gained a lot of weight back really quick. Has anyone been approved for a revision at a  normal or overweight BMI? Not an obese/morbidly obese BMI. Which insurance company do you have? It's open enrollment season so I want to give myself the best shot at being approved, even if it means I change insurance companies.

yes i did, and it is based on medical necessity, as I was very very sick, and there is another patient who was approved for a revision with a bmi of less than 19....insurance co really has nothing to do with it, read your subscirber agreement as throughout insurances there are many different agreements

I have bcbs and no it did not approve it.  It only approved the band removal.  My bmi was a touch over 30 pre surgery.
