Hi everyone!! Some of you may remember me and some may not have a clue where I came from.... but I just wanted to stop in with an update!! In short, I had band in 2008 and was never successful! My body never tolerated fills and I managed to only lose about 25 pounds before I started re-gaining. I quickly reached 319 and went up & down until I decided to see a new surgeon. I lost down to 292 before my first revision consult. My hubby and I both decided to have VSG. My surgery was April 29, 2013 and I was at 280#. This morning I am weighing in at 214.6!! OVER 100 POUNDS GONE!! So happy I made the decision to revise.... some days it is still hard and my inner fatty starts wanting to eat all the crap again.... and some days, she convinces me to try it - but it never turns out well!! :) I had a lot of post-op complications, including hospitalization for almost a month and IV feeding for a week.... but I am great now!! It's a scary and hard decision but I am glad I did it & I am hoping everyone here considering revision finds success!! I hope the pic posts!!

This is pre-band in 2008 at 317 - then day of revision at 280 - then last month at 220 (lost about 6# since then)

Began journey in 2007 at 312, had Lap band 2008, lost 40 pre-op then 24 post op, regained to 319. Lost 39# on my own, then revised to VSG 4/29/13 @ 280.

What a great job! I was sleeved 2/09 and was unbanded 9/12. I was sleeved 1/22/13 and am down 115 pounds from when I started the process in 2008. This sleeve is so much easier/better than the band ever was!

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

OMG My gosh Bug You look amazing and I am just thrilled to pieces that this has worked so well for you. I was afraid after all the trouble you had at first that it was gonna be a nightmare. Girl I'm getting tears in my eyes! I've watched you from your first post here and to see this is just incredible. I hope hubby is doing just as well. I'm sure you both feel so much better. Do keep updating so I can snivel and cry all over again as you shrink away! Go forth and rock that sleeve!

On a sadder not if you remember Lisa O. from the band forum go over there and read about her. She's having a very rough time.

Thanks love!! I am much happier now!! Only about 15 pounds to ONEDERLAND!!! I cannot believe it!! I read your post about Lisa.... I am so sorry to hear this!! So, so sad!! My mother passed from sepsis! I hope Lisa gets better soon!!!
