Any Revisions from RNY to BPD w/o the Switch?

I know that the BPD by itself is pretty much obsolete, but I am wondering if anyone has revised from the RNY to BPD by itself? I spoke to a vetted surgeon and this is the option that I was given since my insurance would cover it. I have read some horrible things about this surgery and am thinking that maybe I need a second opinion because I do not want to have surgery simply because my insurance will cover it nor do I think I want a surgeon to operate on me who is only concerned about getting paid. Any thoughts/suggestions?
