JP Morgan Chase UHC Revision

Hoping to have revision surgery and checking to see if anyone has any info as I'm waiting for insurance to call me back.

I was banded in 2005 and have had complications since 2010...horrible heartburn, weight gain. My husband works for JP Morgan Chase and we have United Heathcare PPO. He worked there and had the same insurance when I was banded in 2005.

Do you have a surgeon yet?  I have found that the surgeon's staff is usually successful at getting insurance approval even when we call and are told no- unless your policy has a no WLS clause or a once a lifetime clause. 

 

I do, the same one who banded me in 2005. I called UHC and all they could tell me was a nurse had to call me back and it would take 2 weeks. :/

I know our policy covers bariatric surgery I just don't know revision requirements and the bariatric specialists through UHC were worthless.

I have an appointment with my surgeon on the 28th.
