Congrats!!! I'm so jealous, I'd  kill to get mine out but insurance says nope, not covered. I bet you do just great with the sleeve, just remember to under eat it, weigh and measure everything especially at first when the nerves are regenerating and you won't get any true feelings from your tummy. I know lots of very happy ex banded, sleevers!

Welcome to the band to sleeve world. We are a growing group (as is band to RNY & DS.)  If you loved your band you will be amazed by your sleeve.  I am loving mine and doing great.  I had mine in two surgeries as my surgeon wants the stomach to heal before sleeving.  So I didn't have any problems at all with the sleeve.  The surgery and recovery was easier than getting the band and having it removed.

There is a group Band2Sleeve here if you would like to drop in and tell us your story.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
