My band is gone..... But OMG!!!!

Many surgeons do the revision in two surgeries just because of this.  They like they stomach to heal 2-6 months.  My surgeon said it is now the recommendation of the ASMBS to do the surgery in two phases.  This drastically reduces the complications.

I had to wait 4.5 months in between.  I was upset about two surgeries until I started seeing that the people having complications here usually had an all in one revision.  I can honestly say the sleeve surgery for me was easier than both getting the band placed and having it removed.  They even had to do 45 minutes of clean-up from the band before starting the sleeve.  My surgeon has a less than 1.5% leak rate with the revision sleeve surgery.
