Began journey in 2007 at 312, had Lap band 2008, lost 40 pre-op then 24 post op, regained to 319. Lost 39# on my own, then revised to VSG 4/29/13 @ 280.

I have read many that have had it as one. I had to have it in two and was very upset. Until I started seeing that those that had issues were all in one, than I was happy they do it in two. That said, not all that have it in one have issues, some have smooth sailing. Just say the ones that do are. Good luck and may all go smoothly for you.
BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
Hey, I'm scheduled for the 30th! It's weird that we were all banded (2007-08) around the same time and now we are all having complications. Wishing all of you good luck and relief from the discomfort of the band. Still waiting for final insurance approval for the sleeve portion, as removal was approved.
