Denied

So my insurance company BCBS of Tennessee denied me after submitting my appeal letter.They said it is not medically necessary and that I was non compliant with diets and exercise.  I'm in the process of getting  a new surgeon hopefully they can get me approved.

I would be a band to sleeve revision. This is my second denial. Have you been denied and then approved? What did you say or do. Need he

I had an initial denial, and my doc did a peer to peer review with the medical dr in charge of authorizations at Anthem BCBS. my pcp and obgyn (who delivered my baby 2 yrs ago) both wrote letters reiterating how they had been monitoring my weight loss and that they felt it was a good idea. I don't know what they said, but it worked ! approved this week. hang in there.
