About a Revision

I had bariatric surgery in June 09 ... I never lost 'all my weight' and feel I failed. I have since gained 30lbs and eating like a madwoman with no control, and I'm scared.  I went to see my surgeon the other day about a revision. He made me understand that revisions are more riskier than gastric bypass.

He is having me do an upper GI to see how much my pouch has stretched. Is this upper GI the norm to check if your stoma/pouch has got larger, and if so, what would be the next step from there?

Thanks guys!

Yes it is pretty standard.  i just had a revision from a band to a sleeve after almost 7 years.  my band worked great for 5 years then slowly stopped working over the last 1 1/2 years and I gained some weight back.  worked to hard the first time to let it all go.
