Case is being reviewed

I had my follow-up with my Dr on Feb 1st.....MY coordinator was out for a few days, but I got the email on yesterday that my insurance info has been submitted.

 

I called Anthem BCBS and confirmed that it's in review. Hoping I will get a quick turn around time, though I was told it can take up to 15 days.

 

The wait begins......i'm almost to my LApband-RNY

Hello Neighbor ! I live in Clayton, NC and have Anthem BCBS too ! My Dr's office just submitted my request for Lap Band to Roux N Y also ! I will pray that they see how much we need this tool and they will approve us !

Oh the wait, it's even worse than the 6 mo diet some of us had to do. Good luck and work that patience!

 

Yeah I found out about the 6 month diet before hand, so I actually already completed it. I figured why not just get it out of the way.

 

One less thing I had to do.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I had Anthem for the past 10 years, they oked the first lapband, but when I went for a revision, they denied me. Said that they would only do one weight control surgery in a lifetime. I had to change insurances to get approval.

I am old enough to get medicare, which I did. And Humana.

Good luck.....I checked with my case worker and per my plan, I'm good on that. My Anthem plan is through my husband's job at Timewarner...they have awesome benefits.
