Getting a EGD on the 18th - DS Revision

Hi everyone,

I went to meet my possible new surgeon.  He wants to check out my Sleeve so I'm going to have a EGD.  I hope every looks good because if it isn't he will not do the DS.  So, I'm very excited.  I'm praying every is good and that I can move forward and get my DS.

hi! nice to meet you, i am in okc also. SE OKC.  I too am thinkning about a revision but i have a long way to go before I can evn think about acually doing it really.  I had RNY in 2001 and have gained back a lot of weight, my health has deteriated but it is my own fault for not making right choices and not doing enough research in the beginning. anyway, nice to kow there is someone out there close by.

I decided that I want another doctor to my DS surgery.  Dr. Daryl Stewart in Denton, Texas.  I'm calling his office in the morning.

I was originally going with Dr. Russell Gornichec.  Have discovered that he just started performing the procedure in December.  I want a experienced doctor in the DS and revisions. Best wishes to you on your future revision.  

Glad you have done your research and know that you wanted a revision, and which revision you wanted, and also, going to a more experienced revision surgeon.

Unfortunately, I was not approved because of my BMI being too low.  Have to have a BMI of 35 or more for the past 2 years.  In 2012 my weight was at 184 which was 34.9.
