moving forward with my revision

I finished my nutrition classes today. I will be having an upper GI and CAT Scan on Thursday then on Tuesday I will

be doing an Endoscopy. They want to see where everything is going  with this fistula. The last upper GI didn't show them

everything they needed to see. They think maybe they can glue the fistula then do the revision in a month or so. I will be so glad

when everything is done  then I will proceed with my revision.

It will be nice to have an actual date to work with!

Why are you having revision surgery?

I am hoping to have a revision because I have not lost the weight I needed to lose. I ended up with

a fistula early on so I never did have a very big weight loss. I also have 3 small hernias they would like to repair

so they would do it all at the same time.

Thank you! Those two procedures are done - now I just have to have the the EGD done. The surgeon called

me on Friday to talk about how the upper GI and CAT scan went. I originally had an RNY done but ended up

with a fistula. The original plan was to go in and plug up the hole but it may be too large to do that.That would be a temporary fix.

 I am hoping to revise  to a DS but need to talk with the surgeon about it and see if my original RNY surgery will

let that work or not.

I bet you're so excited!  I am thinking about having revision done..........I had a bypass in 2004 and didn't lose what I thought I should have and since have gained 70 back and finally down 27...........

I hope you soon get your date!
