Revision Surgeons in Georgia (Atlanta Area)

Hi,

I am currently in search of a revision (possibly lapband to sleeve). I was banded in April 2008 and lost 89 lbs within a year and a half; however I am gaining my weight back slowly but surely.I never did reach my goal of 160 but I had a few issues with the band; including vomiting, upper back pain, chest pain, sometimes pain  in the port area, getting stuck on simple foods... can't eat in the mornings but can pig out by 3 pm. I did have an EGD a year ago which did not show any slips but now I feel like something is going on. Not to mention, I was recently diagnosed with an auto-immune disease and rheumatoid arthritis and with that comes the dreaded steroid pills because I can't take NSAID and I have constant fatigue.  Anyway, I have an appointment scheduled this month with my original surgeon's office; however I wanted to keep my options open and make sure I am making a right decision. Does anyone know of a good revision surgeon in the Atlanta area? Thanks in advance for any input!!

Might want to try posting this on the Georgia forum for more responses. Or check with your insurance company to see who is OK with them. Good luck!

Hello, I know this is from a few years ago. Did you have your revision done BT Dr. Smith or Dr. Jean Pierre?

Thank you. I have an appointment next week with the original surgeon's office but not sure if they do revisions. I will follow up with Dr Smith's office if the other Office doesn't do revisions. I've has several other people recommend that too.

Thanks again
