Dr. Sheldon Randall did my gastic bypass back i*****  Well, here we are in 2013 and I'm starting to gain the weight back.  Can someone recommend a good surgeon who does revisions?  Cause I'm told that Dr. Randall does not do them.  Thanks in advance everyone!  :)

I'm actually located in Massachusetts.  Not too many doctors out here do revisions...So I'm having difficulty finding someone.  I wish I was in California right about now!  lol

What sort of revision do you want? Different surgeons do different procedures. If you want your RNY revised to a DS, the form of WLS with the very best long-term, maintained weight-loss stats, search this board for a post from Smileyjamie titled something like "RNY to DS Surgeons List". It's very complete!

Gd Morning Ms. Batt,

I had my initial surgery in Apr 05 & I have gained alot of the weight back. I was first considering the band, but after researching and reading different result, I think the DS would be a better surgery for me. You mentioned Smileyjamie had a surgeons list, how do I get to that to view the list, I live in Tx and a few of the Dr's here do revisions, but I want to make sure they are educated and well experienced in the DS surgery.

THanks.

MsBatt put the list here, but it's several posts above yours now.

I had my revision in 2009 to the DS. I originally had the way outdated VBG - stomach stapling in 2006. Revising to the DS has been one of the best decisions in my life!!

I would first decide what surgery you want, then do tons of research on the doctors that perform them!! Revisions are a much more difficult procedure than an original surgery....so you need a doctor who is very skilled with you revision type!!

Good luck!!!
