Got a date in writting!
You that have follow my story know I had my band 3.5 years with 2.5 years of medical issues. When my insurance started covering the VSG I started the process to convert as the medical problems could no longer be tolerated. As soon as I did my insurance changed to a once in a lifetime WLS policy. With the support and help of many here at OH, I took on the insurance co and won approval.
While I was out of the country for 3 weeks the Surgery Center finally got their act together and I now have a surgery Date!
January 22, 2013 I will be finally getting my sleeve.
Ahhh, I'm on a first name basis with most of the hospital staff unfortunately, it's not my actual pouch causing problems but I keep getting "a collection" basically a build up of fluids in my abdominal cavity which then forms an abscess, I was hospitalised from nov 25th till dec 14th then had to be rushed back Christmas Day, I'm home now with a drain in draining it but their concern is they can't locate what's causing it and if it doesn't start to dry up and heal itself ill be going in for surgery number 4.... I need to update my profile with all the little gory details and have a ***** about the fact my surgeon was on holidays and I've now dealt with numerous on call surgeons.
Today I'm feeling good though and the weight loss is about 42pound, slowish but not too bad given I'm a revisionista
Might add the fluid is putrid and friggen septic- I got a whiff when this last drain went in.... Gagg!!
