What is the name of the RNY to DS surgeon?
I know I've seen the name of the guy in California who is the expert at revising RNY to DS quite often, but I can't seen to find his name right now. I saw my doc yesterday and while he is willing to revise me, the only revision he is willing to give me is totally reversing my RNY. This of course, gives me no assurance it will stop the hypoglycemia, but it will no doubt mean that I will gain all my weight back. I will go and see the endocrinology specialist one more time, but I'm not having an RNY reversal.

Well, not all that lucky, as I'm in Oregon, but I guess it's better than Florida! Also wish that I didn't need to have a revision to begin with. I know they will try to talk me into another toxic medication to help with this problem, and I guess to be fair, I'll try it, but nothing has helped so far. Acarbose nearly made me explode with gas, and topamax makes me suicidal. I'm never taking that stuff again!

Dr Srikanth is a civilian surgeon, and there's one military doctor who apparently only does military patients.
From the WA State list on the website
Hi Mickey. You are half right, half wrong. Dr Myur Srikanth in Federal Way and the military surgeon (I think his name in Dr Mathew Martin) both do the DS here in WA, but neither is a revision surgeon. Specifically, the complex RNY to DS revision. They may revise from the band, but thats not usually what we are referring to when we say revision surgeon,
I checked, and I didn't find anyone who was experienced in RNY to DS or Sleeve in WA state.
I will go to the endo again as my doc recommended, but I can't get in till February 7, and I'm not holding out a lot of hope. I think all they have left to offer me is injections of octreotide before eating, and the possible side effects don't look fun.
I think I'll most likely end up contacting Keshishian- I do know some folks I might stay with in CA, and he seems to be the most experienced guy.

Rabkin and Keshishian are both highly regarded. Here is the website for the revision surgeon in Federal Way, WA:

Good luck.
I am currently on Victoza for my reactive hypoglycemia and did the precose also this works much better. I am working with Dr.Clark Warden for my revision from RNY to sleeve. I hope to have it in Feb. I wish you all the luck in the world I had so many doors slammed from Bariatric surgeons in this town I could scream, every one of them told me to stop eating sweets like poof my problems would go away! I hope you dont need the full DS and can get by with just a conversion to sleeve...bet of luck!!
