Apollo Overstitch Revision

Have you had your overstitch performed yet ?? If so how is it going Im in the Boston area and looking into it...Thanks for any info you may have

IntakeKim did you have to do a full liquid after your revision?

How are you doing since your overstitch ??? I see it's been a couple years have you had any regain or are you still felling restricted?

What was cost of Apollo 

I am looking into the overstitch also and I am in the Boston area ...My Gastric bypass Dr seems to feel that my stoma has stretched. I have some regain about 30 pounds. I see it has been several years since your overstitch how are you doing these days any regain??? Do you still feel restriction??? 

Thank you so much for sharing your positive outcome, I know the negative outcome is just as true and as important but my heart and hopes is set on doing this surgery in the very near future so even though I know it seems to be less successful than we all hope so it's nice to know that it does work for some and I'm really hoping I'm one of them. Could you possibly give me an update on your long term outcome of having Apollo Overstitch? I go on 09/09/2020 for it.

I have lost 30 lbs in the 3 months since the procedure! It is the best thing I ever did. It feels like I have my tool back again to let me know when I am full and I do not need to eat all day. I feel full for 4+hours after I eat a balanced meal!!! Good luck everyone!

Hi my name is Linda and I had RNY in March 2004. Starting weight was 242 and at 5'3" that's not good! Got down to 128 at about 13 month mark and looked really sick. Was loosing too much and dr said my weight would come back up to whereever it was comfortable and stabalize. I came back up to 139 and was so happy. Stayed there for 6 years and then about 3 yrs ago I started to put back on some weight. Was ok at 145 but now at 173 and not happy at all. Wasn't able to find a dr for follow up care (very long story, but it had to do with WHO did my original RNY), that is until now!! Dr Simon at JFK in Atlantis FL has taken me on for follow up and after having the upper gi, endoscopy and a CTscan with contrast, has been able to get an approval from my insurance to perform the Apollo Overstitch Revision to tighten my pouch and the stoma (sp?). Surgery date is just 7 days past my 9 yr anniversary of the RNY. I'm looking for feedback from anyone that has had this revision. Please be honest. Thank you so much for sharing. =)

I am nervous yet excited too to have gotten the approval from Aetna. What else can you tell me about your procedure? I only need/want to lose 35-40 pounds. My dr has done about 40 cases since Sept and said most of the patients had gained back a lot more than I have. I'm thinking that perhaps they had their original procedure at a higher starting weight than I. Dr says they've all reached about 50-60 pound losses as of early Jan that was.

Can you tell me more about the pre op diet, post op diet, what to expect?

I am going in on Oct 27 for my Apollo overstitch!

BTW Your story above is mine Exactly except my RNY was in Feb 2005 , But exactly the same weght loss ups and downs !

I am a bit taller 5'4 LOL My lowest was 133 and like you was to thin for me I LOVE 140 LBS !!

My weight today is 179 and my goal is 140lbs

Looking forward to my new Tool !!

Any support or updates on you and the apollo would be appreciated
