I'm glad to hear you are trying other means first.  I think it's best to try non-surgical options.  When my insurance denied the over stitch I had decided it was probably a sign.  Now I'm just feeling bad.  Are you following a low-carb diet?

Have you had the procedure yet?  I have my procedure on Tuesday.  Getting a little nervous.  My doctor is great but hasn't given any real info. I know he knows I trust him. So I guess he thinks I know all that I need to know

I had the Apollo procedure with Dr. Thompson 6/30/15. My stoma had enlarged to 30mm and he reduced it to 8mm. I can say I do feel full now after drinking my liquids. The only down side is he has you on liquids only (water, broth, & protein shakes) for 6 weeks to allow full healing. This is going to be tough but it will be worth it. My original RYB was March 2009 with Dr. David Lautz and I lost 100 lbs. In early 2015 I had gained back about 20 lbs but knew I was in trouble with never feeling full. I was referred to Dr. Thompson and my insurance did cover it 100%. Same as others very painful throat and neck due to the tube, but otherwise nothing, I was back at the gym 3 days later.

Hi Mel ...how are you doing since your procedure? I had the Apollo 7/29/15 ... just a few days out.
I wanted to ask you how are you handling the just having water, broth and shakes?

Thanks!

I'm doing good lost 15 lbs, but won't lie the 6 weeks of liquids is hell. Coming up on 5 weeks next Tuesday. Stay hydrated and drink by the clock every 10-15 min is my advice. Did you have it in Boston? Good luck and let me know how you are doing.

Hi yes, I had it with Dr Christopher Thompson at B&W Hospital also. My God, 6 weeks on liquids only, kill me know. LMAO - I left you my email address in another post. Please write and let me know how your progress is going. 15lbs is great for a short time.
