How easy to get insurance approval?

So, I was banded in October 2006, and didn't do so well.  I told my doctor yesterday that i wanted to do a revision after giving my Band one last try.  So now I'm waiting to see if my insurance will approve it.  How long did it take for you to find out you were approved? I am so anxious right now, I can't wait to just get it on...BTW I have BCBS of Michigan...

It's really hard to tell some are quick and others have to fight long and hard. Totally depends on the protocol for your insurance co. Some have a one surgery per lifetime, others only allow it after following all the original surgery requirements. Good luck to you!
