My question for these doctors to perform the revision do you have to be a certain BMI? I had Gastric Bypass March 2010 was 346. My lowest weight was 215. I am currently 253 and need a revision. I gave BCBS Federal ad they do pay for revision surgery. One more question my insurance says 3 months supervised weight loss. If the doc is out of state do you have to travel and see the Dr. for all visits. I live in New Mexico and the closest Dr. I think is Stewart.

First off, I do not think that you have to be any certain BMI for the surgeon.  Glad your insurance will cover it.  WOOT!!!!!!

As for the 3 months of supervised weight loss.  I used my PCP.  It just needs to be documented by a physician, not necessarily the surgeon.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!
