Do you mean Rabkin and Keshishian? Both have great reputations for doing the RNY-to-DS revision---is that what you're having? (Great choice, by the way!)

I researched for several days the best surgeons and their success rate and reputation and the one that keeps coming up on top is Dr. K in California so you are getting very good information.  I reside in Florida or i would be on the next jet plane meeting Dr. K in California because I too had an rny in 99 and went from 324 to 160 or so and now 240 and miserable......just miserable.  I would love to have rny to ds revision but may have to settle for something else....i will find out soon my options...I  wish you great health and happiness in your quest to improve your quality of life......we can do this...best wishes, Anna

He deals with many out of state clients. I am taking out a loan as I feel there is not many choices for RNY patients that are successful. I am tired of not being a winner and I do not have much time or anything left but desire... I wish you the best and thank you for writing to me and helping me.

Thank you. I visited with Dr K and I loved him. I just need to get the logistics down and I hope to have surgery before the end of the year.

Revision on 12/10/12

Hi,

I am having revision surgery with Dr. Keshishian 12/10/12. I am traveling for surgery and luckily my insurance covers most if not all out of pocket costs- hotel, food for support person, transportation ect.  His office is very helpful.

Really!  Never heard of any insurance paying for any out of pocket extras for travel or companion.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Revision on 12/10/12

Hi,

I have Anthem BC of CA through UC California Berkeley. It's a PPO and we pay allot for it. I have heard of other plans that have similar coverage.

Best,

Whitney

You should also post over on the DS board, you will probably get more responses there.  Also, there is another WLS message board where alot of RNY to DS revisioners are www.weightlosssurgery.proboards.com
