Lap Band to VSG

Hi all...although I have been a member for quite some time, I have never posted before. I was banded in 2005 and am now interested in getting the sleeve. Can anyone share their experiences with me?
If I've posted in the wrong place, please let me know and I apologize in advance.

There are a few people on here that have, I'm sure someone will have some answers but maybe try cross posting on the vsg board as there are lots of revisors( is that a word) over there.

It's not ignorant at all Hun,up on the top bar to the left if you click on forums there will be a drop down box,click on verticle sleeve gasterectomy , it'll take you to the vsg page you'll then need to click message board, post in there you can either put xpost in the title or not and post the Q there

Thank you so much...I did it!!! (I think...lol) Now if I could only join groups. I try to, but then I try and view posts and it tells me my account does not have permission to view...???

Thanks for the well wishes I'm kinda freaking out at the moment..... As for the groups it probably means the person in charge of the group hasn't accepted you yet, may not have been on or checked their requests :-)

Aww...I can completely understand where you are coming from, but think positive. There are so many of these surgeries performed and so many success stories to go along with them. You will be another!!!

Lap Band on 02/25/09

There are a lot posting on the lap band AND the VSG boards that have, are getting or want to convert from band to sleeve.

There is also a brand new group Called Band2Sleeve. Lots of people are joining but, we need to get them talking.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

the sleeve is very easy to live with.

revision surgery itself was painful & tiresome - but it passed and it's been a breeze since.
i eat very 1.5/2hrs, as that works for me & i don't isolate foods - i eat what i'm in the mood for.
while i shoot for 65/75g protein a day - some days i just like to veggie up & my labs have not reflected any kind of defficiencies.

good luck !, i know many *****vised to the sleeve & have done very well.
