Feeling sick after leaving hospital

I had surgery 1 week ago today and about three days ago I have been feeling sick. Not in a nausea or stomach pain but like a flu kind of feeling. Severe headache; tight sore back of neck; nasal congestion with sneezy a little bit of blood. Is this just a coincidence or is it something related to having the surgery?

It's hard to say, I suggest you call your surgeon and see what they say.

I caught a cold (short lived though) right after I came home from open RNY. I figure I was susceptible and someone in the hospital gave it to me. Maybe for you too.

I also came down with a cold/ flu like thing after my last surgery- I put it down to my immunity being a bit down due to everything I'd just been through, I ended up on antibiotics because it seemed to want to settle in my chest.

I got the flu the week after I had my band out. It sucked. It might not hurt to call your surgeon just to check in. Better safe than sorry.
