Hey everyone.  I have been off the site for several years.  I had my RNY in 2008 did good lost 80 pounds. However over the years bad habits came back.  I gained 51 pounds back.  I just had a revision on July 24.  I have only lost 3 pounds.  I walk 2 miles 3 times a week. I have had problems holding down food.  I have to remember to chew chew chew.  I had a lot of trips to the ER I wasn't able to hold down solid foods.  So today I look pregnant.  I went to my nuts trying to see if I am doing something wrong.  I am going for a GI proceedure to make sure everything is ok. I have had this terrible pain on my left side.  The several trips to the ER and a lot of test resulted in everything looking normal, CT scans and ultra sounds.  Crazy thing is no one knows why I am not loosing wt or why my right side is hurting.  Its crazy.  My incision is about 8 inches long cause I also had to have some ulcer repair during the revision.  Has anyone experienced any problems..

What was your revision? From /to? sounds like something is not right. If you had not had any surgery and could not hold down food since july and were exersizing like you are you should be losing weight for those reasons alone. So knowing that you had the WLS just adds more puzzlement to it. I have other questions but since I don't know your revision type...

Hello I have a rny revision! I also had some ulcer repair! My new pouch is oval and not round! I can hold down carbs and soups but solid protein like grilled or salute chicken doesnt stay down! I am going to have an upper gi this week to see what is going on! If you need more details please ask! I am open to your thoughts

You certainly need to find out why you can't keep dense proteins down, but the reason you're not losing weight is because you're basically eating nothing but carbs. Carbs are the devil. (*grin*)

Have you tried protein powders or rtd protien drinks What carbs are you eating? Are you tracking your food? Ow many calories/ carbs/ protein a day are you getting? Are you getting enough water/fluids.

I'm sorry your having these troubles and the pain on the right side- I hope ou/they can figure it out

watch your carb intake. Alot of people (myself included) have gained weight back because of carbs. Like the other poster said, try your protien drinks and lots of water. did they resize your pouch or is it your original size? How about your stoma, did they tighten it up, maybe it is too big?

Until they find out what is wrong are you getting in your protien from at
least protein shakes? You need to make sure you are getting in the protein.  I would be doing the nectar no carbs shakes or other no/low
carb shakes.  Also are you keeping up on the water.

I hope they get this figured out for you soon.

I hope and pray that you got the results from your upper GI in. I got an revision from sleeve to ds on 7/23. I had a pain on my rightside 2 weeks out. It was the stoma still healing. It has now gone away. Definitely keep us posted on the results of the GI. And if you are a person of faith, meditate on a favorite healing quote. It did me a great deal of good as my mind was really playing tricks on me while in pain, and having doubts about the revison etc etc. It will all work out:)
