Surgery and a sprain fooy

What was really odd was that the surgical wing was not dedicated to bariatrics but only had bariatric wheelchairs.

Far better than if it had been the other way around!

When I went to do my pre-admission testing for my DS, I had VERY bad knees. I simply could NOT do all the walking from area to area, so they had people wheeling me from Point A to Point B, etc. They'd drop me off, and when I was finished, they'd send someone to get me.

At one point, this little guy came in pushing what looked like a CHILD'S wheelchair. I just looked at it and said "There's no way I'm gonna fit in that."  He then replied, perfectly seriously,  "It's not very far." So *I* said "Well, which half of me do you want to take first?"

He went and got a bigger wheelchair.

That's true!

The bariatric wheelchair was large enough to accommodate me, two bags full of magazines, personal effects and stuff I ended up with at the hospital AND a pilow, on the seat.  I still wonder to what weight it was calibrated to hold.  But your point is well taken.
