Has anyone else had trouble losing  the required weight loss for the surgery? My Dr required I lose 12 lbs . Now I got so nervous I gained weight.

The main reason for it is to help shrink the liver. The majority of us obese people have fatty liver disease and the smaller we can get the liver before surgery the easier it is for the surgeon to get to our stomachs. The stomach is kinda up and behind the liver so they have to move it out of the way. But not all surgeons do require a weight loss, so do your best and don't be nervous it's all to make for a better surgery situation.
