Having procedure open?

This information helps a lot. I will add this to the list of questions I need to ask the surgeon when I see him again. They sent in for approval on Friday to the insurance..I'm hoping to hear something soon. Thanks for the reply.

I had both my RNY open and my revision to DS open. Yesterday was my 2 year anniversary of my revision and I'm doing great. Yes, it takes a little longer to recover but it was worth it. I was off work fro 4 weeks and was paid for my time off with short term disability benefits from work. Good luck!!

My RNY was done in 2001. Kept 100 lbs off but gained some back. Never reached my goal so that is when I made the decision to do the revision to the DS - best thing I ever did!
