I am a band to sleeve revision. My doctor couldn't do the RNY because the damage the band erosion did--even a year after letting it heal--and I was okay with that. He had my permission to go with the sleeve when he got in there to see the damage. He did an endoscopy while he was performing the surgery so he could get a good view from both directions. 
My doc told me the virgin sleeve was easier due to less scar tissue, they dont know how much till they get in there, but we have to decide before they get in there. Also higher risks of leaks with the VSG, I am still undecided. Long term, I think the sleeve is the best, but worried about living through the actual surgery.
