There are many different disorders, it is how the food moves through the digestive system.
I am just learning, but I will share what I learn.

Yup, I have gastroparesis from my diabetes.  Apparently that is contributing to my reflux because the food is not moving through my stomach as it should.   :(

I have had many issues post RNY, one of which is Gastroparesis due to Vagus Nerve dissection.  If you'd like, you can read my blog, it's pretty long and detailed. I wasn't sure how much you wanted to know. It's terrible, pain/nausea/difficult to eat, the list goes on

Band to DS

Yep. I've been diagnosed with esophageal dysmotility because of my lap band. It's hard for me to swallow solid food & things get stuck in my esophagus. Unfortunately, it's a very common problem with the lap band.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
