have any of you ever heard of someone whose surgeon denied them to do the revision?
I don't think it is very often but of course the surgeon can always refuse to do a revision or any other surgery for that matter. If the person isn't able to do the follow up needed, their anatomy may not be able to be revised, may be too unhealthy for surgery at that point or may need more counceling before going ahead. There could be as many reasons as there are people. The berst thing to do would be find out why and then address that issue with the doc and see if it can be done at a later time maybe. Without lots more detail it's hard to tell.
I orginally tried to get a RNY to DS from a doctor in Texas and he refused to do it he said I did not weigh enough but suggested that I try another doc who wanted to do B.O.B. I was very upset but I got over it.

I am trying to do a RNY proximal to a distal. The only surgical clinic within 300 miles will only do a revision if there is a mechanical failure. according to the nurse, I do not have one. So I may be posting a big fat yes to my own question.Of course she is just a nurse and the doctor has not seen the report yet but I fear that it is just a formalily. When is your surgery?
I actually had the RNY revised on 4/27/12,... it has been slow and a little frustrating you can watch my journey sofar on you tube if you like. see link in my signature.

Yes, a gal was denird by DR. Roslin to have RNY to DS revision. She had Dr. Keshishian do the surgery. Yes, she traveled to the west coast, but that is such a small drop in the bucket to regain your HEALTH!!!! And get the surgery YOU WANT!!!!
