Hello. I had a gastric sleeve operation 2 yrs ago and have not had adequate weight loss. I am investigating the possibility of having a RNY. Has anyone in this group had a bypass following a sleeve.? I would be grateful for any insight you can offer. Thanks in advance

Good God Why!  You already have the 1st half of the DS.  Keep your fully functional stomach and revise to the DS intestinal configuration.  Truly, why anyone would want to butcher a perfectly functioning stomach is beyond me.  And, the DS has far better long term results.  Research, research, research!  Go to Dsfacts.com and read everything.

The DS is not an option for me.  I''ve researched my options and I am planning a revision to the rue en y.

Just curious...why isn't it an option for you?  Is it an issue with insurance?

Correct. No insurance coverage for the DS. Also, I believe the rue en y to be a more appropriate procedure for me
