Although I feel you should hold off you are going to do whatever works for you. Unless you have a rider or some obscure insurance company, stomaphyx and rose are considered experimental by all the major insurance companies. Good luck in your revision.

On the upper right is a searh box.  You should use it.  Type "STOMAPHYX" into it and spend more than 10 minutes reading replies.

But, it looks like you had your mind made up before you posted.  Enjoy your 15-20 pound weight loss.

IF you read back through all the prior posts about the Stomaphx and ROSE procedures, it's all the same. There's people saying they are getting it, and then they say they lost about 20 lbs from the liquid diet, and then they gain everything back. It's useles. The only positive posts in the history are the shill posts put up by a specific doctor's "patients." HIs coordinator did that to get business. You can tell, none of the posters have avatars, and their only posts are about getting the procedure but nothing else.

Most insurance companies won't cover Stomaphyx or ROSE. Almost everyone has had to be self-pay. Some had insurance cover it because the doctor used a different code, and that's insurance fraud. Check with your insurance to see what they cover. My Blue Cross policy spells it all out - they will cover revisions if they are medically necessary but they don't cover a VSG (because over 80% of them failed) and they won't cover Stomaphyx or ROSE.

I have not heard or seen one person who was successful with a Stomaphyx or the ROSE procedure. In fact, it's so unsuccessful that most insurance companies will not even pay for it. We have Aetna and I know that they don't because they consider it highly unsuccessful. Mostly I have heard of people who lost 20-25 pounds then nothing more only to regain that lost weight back shortly after the "fix".  I would not have it done....at all.
