Revision From RNY to ????????? HELP!

Hello,

I am not fond of the band because I had to go through a six month revision group and eight of the ten people in the group had the band.  I heard nothing but horror stories about the band.  They were each disappointed with the band and sorry they chose the band over another weight loss surgery.  I will definitely look into Dr. Roslin.  Thanks for responding!

 Just an FYI, a band by itself is not the same as a Band over Bypass.  They are 2 seperately, and totally different procedures and the outcomes are quite different.  Just wanted to get that in.

Wow I did not know that!  I will look into it and talk to my doctor and have him explain the difference as well.

 Its still a band, I don't want to mislead you but I believe a band over the bypass is a good procedure and often overloked. Just worth the discussion, that is all Im saying. Best of luck!

If you are considering the RNY to DS revision, here is a list (only 5 in the US of the docs who do it).  Just good research for you

 I will definitely do my reseasrch on Dr. Roslin.  I don't know why I thought that revision surgery would be slightly easier than the initial WLS.   It seems the more I read the more scared I become about revision surgery.  I just need to do my research and find the right doctor to do the right surgery!
