Home and Sleeved

Everything went really well.  Dr. Curry was great and so was the staff.  My procedure was done at the surgery center...so much better than the hospital.  I had immediate attention to every need.  I waited less than 2 minutes for every request; pain medicine, fluids, walk to the bathroom, everything. 

Because I only have ~ 65 pounds to lose, I asked Dr. Curry to not pull too tight on the bougie gauge, and he honored my request with a smile.  He also fixed a rather larger hiatal hernia and said that should fix or significantly reduce my reflux and heartburn.  Maybe I will actually be able to get off the PPI's and H2 blockers.
 
So I'm sipping and walking and feeling fine.  Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays!

Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm right behind you with a band to sleeve revision on 12/27 with Dr. Curry. Mine had to be done at Jewish, but everything went well and the nurses were wonderful. Best of luck to you.

Megan - congratulations!  Glad to hear that everything went well.  I was very impressed with Dr. Curry and his staff.  The post op liquids were really tough for me.  I was so hungry on Christmas day and the day after.  Slowly getting better every day.  Not too interested in eating or drinking.  Happy New Year and est of luck to you!
