post revision question

I had revision from band to bypass on nov 2. Can any of you tell me if the muscle where they took out your port was kind of hard and swollen? that is the only place that i am uncomfortable. thanks

I have read from others that the pain where the port came out was worse than the rest of the surgery. Keep an eye on it and if it becomes hot or red call your doc immediately! Otherwise if it doesn't bother you too much you could probably wait till your next follow up with your surgeon. Of course if any thing changes or just for your own peace of mind you can always call the surgeon and check with them. Hopefully it will clear up soon but others have had the same problem.

I had my revision from band to rny October 27 so I'm right there with you and yes my port area is sore and swollen. But it's getting better every day so just be patient. I also have the left side "stitch" pain so I've got both sides to worry about. Good luck with your recovery.
