Sleeve to DS judgemental 3rd revision

Hi sally J,

This will be my 2nd revision, 3rd wls.  I had a LB in 2008, a revision to VSG in 2009.  Now I want a DS.  I am in the process of talking to Dr. Daryl Stewart, he is a very good surgeon.  I am hoping that he will want to be my surgeon and BCBS Federal will cover the DS.  It will be only the 2nd part of the DS since I have the sleeve already.  Just like you.

Do your research on the surgeon you decide to go with.

Best wishes to you also. I pray that this will be yours and mine last WLS. I am so proud of my older sister in keeping her 100+pounds off for 15 years or more with RNY. She has major dumping issues though. I have yet to experience losing 120 like she has. She was about my size when she started around 268-250ish. The first 6 months are really crucial. And the loss just hasn't been there for me with the band or the sleeve. I have maintained the loss but that's it. After losing a pound with weigh****chers, I was like WTF? It would be different if I lost 120 and I am 5 years out, starting to gain weight. Totally different story. I haven't reached my goal weight. I would be happy with 100 pounds. And get a breast reduction and lipo to take off 10 more. Which I need but, need to lose some weight first. Anyway, I will at least try to come back to the revision forum for updates and not let the haters on the other places stop me from talking to the other wonderful people here.

Yes I agree this will be our last WLS.  It's sad that are mean people that like to say that it's all your fault for not losing the weight, etc....  I have to just ignore them or block them.  They have no right to speak in to our lives like that, they don't even know us.


Anyway please feel free to PM anytime.  I will keep you posted on my progress and how it went for me with Dr. Stewart.
