Revision from Lapband to RNY

My revision was August 1st (band placed April 2008).

The good:  Down 49 pounds since surgery, no more chest pain, no more getting "stuck", Gerd is all but gone, no more swollen limbs, fingers, ankles, 120% more energy, no more piece of plastic which my body obviously didn't like inside of me, no more feeling like a failure

The bad:  The vitamins are for life, a regimine that has to be followed, has been hard early out to get in water in protein as we are eating so ver little to begin with.  Oh, and I loathed my binder

Complications:  Honest, my revision surgery sucked.  I wish I could say I was like most, feeling wonderful and up in a week.  It has taken me two full months to heal (I had open surgery).  My surgery took three hours due to band complications/problems.

I wish I had done this surgery to begin with.  I had acid-reflux prior to being banded and should never had the band put it (I ended up with GERD and esophagus issues).  I have a small blog on OH if you want to read more of the good, bad and ugly more in detail.

Best of luck!
