Aetna lightweights band to revision - anyone?

Hey everyone,

I've gone through my pre-op testing and am waiting on final surgery and insurance approval from my Dr. and Aetna.  I've read the policy bulletin but I'm getting nervous that I won't qualify.  My BMI is only about 37 right now (haven't regained ALL my weight yet!) and my co-morbidities aren't listed as an approval factor. 

I qualified before (BMI of 40, apnea) but don't now.  My apnea is only "mild" now and just under the threshold Aetna calls apnea.  I have a score of 12.6, they want 15. 

So now I'm nervous that they won't approve.  Wondering if any of you were in this situation and what happened?

Have you posted this on the Lightweights board???  There are MANY patients there that could give you GOOD feedback!!!!
