I had my band out a month ago. Now I am going through the three-month mandatory supervised diet. I'm going to revise to either the sleeve or RNY - haven't decided yet, but I need to get the ball rolling. When I met with my nut for the first visit, she, of course, weighed me and said that I could not gain a pound or I have to start over with the three months. I'm wondering, is that true? I'm very worried because I meet with her next Tuesday and I am up 1 1/2 pounds. So frustrating because I can fluctuate a couple pounds every depending on TOM, etc.

Does anyone have experience with this? Was she just trying to scare me?

THANKS!!!!

She sounds absolutely crazy! All weight fluctuates... Seems like scare tactics

I call BS on that one.  If you eat a salty meal you could be up 2 pounds the next morning.  Ridiculous!!

I'd say gaining just shows that you need the surgery! I had BCBS for my band and they didn't care whether I gained or lost just that I had tried a medically supervised diet as opposed to some crazy fad diet. I think she's nuts.
