I don't know, but would direct you to DSFacts.com for a list of vetted DS surgeons. This is extremely complex surgery and there are on ly a handful of surgeons who do them. I would invite you over to the DS board.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.
Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
Definitely check out the DS board as well as DS facts. If you're right near Cary, you are probably better off with Dr. Sudan in Durham. He's supposedly one of the best.
