X-Post: Dr. K and Medicare...out-of-pocket cost for RNY to DS revision?

I posted this on the DS board today, but thought Id post here as well just in case there are some who dont go over there.

Ive decided Im going to try to have RNY to DS surgery with Dr. K.  Im going to probably have to look at CareCredit or Surgery Loans to cover what my Medicare (part A and B) wont cover.  What Im looking for is a ballpark figure that those who have had revision surgery with Dr. K and are on Medicare paid out of pocket so I can estimate how much of a loan Im going to need to apply for.

Because of Medicare requiring a COE facility, Id be having surgery in Delano.  Im also aware of the $4,000 program fee.

Once again, thank you so much for the advice and feedback I have received so far.  I did try using the search feature to avoid asking an already answered question, but I saw mostly posts discussing the program fee only.

Paula,
I wish I could give you some info, but can't. Hopefully someone else will chime in, I was self pay with Dr. Keshishian. Have you faccgored in travel and hotel expenses? Will Medicare pay for you pre-op workup (labs, psych consult, chest x-ray, EKG, possible EGD, upper GI)?
