I was approved for revision surgery RNY to DS.  I would like to hear from anyone who had it and know how it went for them.  Any positive advice is welcome.  Surgery scheduled for 9/19/11.

I am sorry to hear that.   I know every state & every insurance is different, so I don't have any advice.  Here is PA, you have to have had a medical reason why the 1st one went wrong in order for insurance to pay at least on my insurance.  I really thought I would have to do a lot more fighting so I am very lucky and shocked. TBH I don't know how much I weigh, somewhere between 280-300 is my guess. I don't even want to get on the scale at this point.  I am sick of having headaches & just being so tired and lazy because of my sleep apnea that is caused by my weight.

I don't know if CA has it but PA has a insurance commissioner who can turn over an insurance companies denial if you have a good case.  I was prepared to go there. Appeal appeal appeal or hit the lottery & pay for it yourself.  lol

I wish you the best of luck.

That's great news. I was revised a few months ago. Best of luck!
