DiBenedetto doesn't do the DS at ALL, much less an RNY to DS revision.  His opinion on the subject is self-serving, uninformed and worthless.  Period, full stop, end of sentence.

And I'd have my doubts if Roslin deems you to have "a pouch made too low" which seems to be his catch phrase for "I don't wanna do an RNY to DS on you."  I'd look into getting a second opinion from one of the RNY to DS revision SPECIALISTS like Rabkin or Keshishian.  I've NEVER heard either of them give such an excuse.

 Diana,

I am the one who was revised back to an RNY from an RNY.  My original surgeon used to work with Roslin, so they know each other very well and they know each other surgical techniques. As soon as Roslin heard who my surgeon was, he flat out told me that my pouch was made too low.  I never knew that. My own surgeon did not want to do the full revision on me and referred me to Roslin. I did not have the money to travel to CA to see another surgeon and I trusted Roslin's opinion completely. He operated on two of my family members. I have lost 110 lbs since having surgery last Nov and I am very happy. He gave me my life back. Every surgeon's technique is different.  If Roslin could have done the DS  or Sleeve, he would have. I was originally supposed to go for the band over the bypass. After all of the testing, he told me it wouldn't work on me.
