Hi everyone!
I had my band removed in an emergency surgery in May. I liked my band, and had done well with it up to that point losing about 60 lbs in 11 months. My surgeon could not replace the band because the angles of my stomach make another serious slip inevitable. He suggested the sleeve. My BMI is now 31, and I no longer have any of the comorbities I had a year ago. I was really afraid that I wouldn't get approved for the revision. But after 3 weeks of waiting, the approval came today!!!! YEAH!!!! My surgery date is August 9th. I am so excited to be rejoining the losers bench!

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!
